About this Event
“Times are urgent, we must slow down.” — Bayo Akomolafe
Join us on the high prairie at the Plains Conservation Center in Aurora, Colorado — a living landscape where restoration, stewardship, and connection to the land are in action through the award-winning Prairie Restoration Project. This Circle offers an invitation to slow down, open our senses, and listen deeply with and for the Earth as we stand in relationship with this place that supports biodiversity, culture, and resilience.
The Prairie Restoration Project here works to restore healthy ecosystems and nurture reciprocal relationships between people and nature through land stewardship rooted in respect and care. As prairie communities of plants and wildlife re-emerge, we too gather to listen — to what the Earth is showing us, what wisdom wants to surface, and how we might each respond in ways that honor the web of life.
What to Expect
In this guided Earth Listening Circle, we will:
- Ground into presence on the prairie
- Enter a shared listening ritual with the land
- Reflect and share insights together
- Harvest collective wisdom
- Explore how emergent guidance may shift our way of being, doing, and relating
This is an emergent, participatory experience — not about predicting outcomes, but about receiving what wants to be known and remembered in service to life and future generations.
