Celebrate Earth Day with the City of Grand Junction and RiversEdge West at a volunteer planting event! At this event, we will be planting native trees, shrubs, and grass species. This will help restore riverside habitat and improve recreation for disc golfers and other visitors to Watson Island.
Please bring work gloves and a shovel if you have them. We will also provide shovels, gloves, and other equipment for volunteers to borrow. Light snacks and coffee will be provided. Work will all be outside, so please bring water, proper work attire (we recommend pants, close-toed shoes, and long sleeves), and sun protection.
The event will be at Watson Island, 639 Struthers Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501. We will meet at the parking lot next to the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. Map to the parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZhJLZDYAaCWEhQHa7
