About this Event
Halfway between Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, where the waters from King's Mountain reach the Pacific Ocean, lies Tunitas Creek Beach. Waters from Tunitas Creek run onto the broad, sandy beach. To the north stands an iconic sandstone cliff.
Come join us Saturday, April 26 to clean along the beach! Gloves, grabbers, and buckets will be provided.
Tunitas Creek Beach currently has no facilities and is only accessible when accompanied by park staff.
We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty. The beach is about 1/4 mile down a steep, paved path. We recommend that you bring a personal water bottle for each member of your group. Sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold! If weather conditions are deemed hazardous this event will be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.
Groups of 4 or more must contact [email protected] at least seven days in advance to register. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
A reminder email with more detailed instructions on the day's activities and where to meet will also be sent in advance of the event. We look forward to seeing you in the parks!
