About this Event

Help Cleanup the Indian River Lagoon in Celebration of Earth Day! GreenSpace Water Alliance (GWA) is inviting communities to rally together to remove trash and debris from shorelines of the estuary.

*332 GWA volunteers removed 3,588 pounds of litter from lagoon shorelines in September 2024. Thank you!

We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish with you on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The cleanup event is FREE to participate in. Please register through the orange "Get tickets" button or call (321) 210 - 8738. The supplies for this event are allocated for each site based on registrations, so it is very important for you to register.

*Funds for the cause are raised through event shirt sales, sponsorships, and donations. Event shirts are $28 (+Eventbrite Fees). Event shirts must be purchased by April 14, 2025. *Shirts are only available by preorder and are not available for sale on the day of the event.

*The shirts will be available for pickup on the day of the event at your designated cleanup site. If you are unable to attend but would still like to purchase a shirt in support, you can select to have the shirt mailed to you through the "Please Mail My Shirt" selection, which is a separate and additional fee per item that is shipped.

Cleanup Locations

~ GWA Palm Bay Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the Turkey Creek Sanctuary, Palm Bay.

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: Participants can check-in starting at 8 a.m. at Paddling Paradise, 4220 Dixie Hwy Palm Bay, FL 32905.

*Kayaks and Life Vests are Available for those who would like to clean up on the water and are first come, first serve on the day of the event and only at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary, Paddling Paradise cleanup site.

~GWA Melbourne Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the shores of the 192 Melbourne Causeway.

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: Participants can check-in starting at 8 a.m. Ernest Koven-Hoven Riverside Park, at 200 N. Riverside Drive, Indialantic, FL 32903. Overflow event parking is available at Eastminister Presbyterian Church.

~GWA Eau Gallie Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the shores of the Eau Gallie Causeway and Boat Ramp.

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: Participants can check-in starting at 8 a.m. at the Eau Gallie Causeway Boat Ramp at Eau Gallie Causeway (SR-518) Melbourne, FL 32935.

~GWA Cocoa Beach Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the shores of the 520/West Cocoa Beach Causeway.

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: To Be Determined

~GWA Merritt Island Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the shores of the 528 /Banana River Bridge A1A, Martin Andersen Beachline Expressway.`

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: Participants can check-in starting at 8 a.m. at Kelly Park East, located at 2550 N. Banana River Dr., Merritt Island, FL 32952.

~GWA Titusville Cleanup Site: Cleanup will take place along the shores of the Max Brewer Bridge and Horseshoe Crab Island.

Day of Event Check-in Site Location: Participants can check-in starting at 8 a.m. at Epic Paddle Adventures, located at Parrish Park, 1 A. Max Brewer Memorial Pkwy, Titusville, FL 32796.

*Kayaks, Paddle Boards, and Life Vests are Available for those who would like to clean up on the water and are first come, first serve on the day of the event and only at Epic Paddle Adventures, Titusville cleanup site.


Every cleanup event engages people to remove trash from shorelines identifying the sources of debris and helps chang behaviors.

No matter where you live—whether on the coast or thousands of miles away—all waterways lead to the ocean. If we take action and work together, we can improve the ocean’s health and make trash-free seas a reality.

GWA Coastal Cleanup Volunteer Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement

Waiver and Release of Liability:

In consideration of attendee participation in the coastal cleanup, trash, and litter pickup event (hereinafter referred to as the "Event") organized by GreenSpace Water Alliance, all registrants and participants, acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Voluntary Participation: I acknowledge that my participation in the Event is voluntary. I am participating at my own risk and understand that there are inherent risks associated with the activity, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, property damage, and environmental hazards.
  2. Assumption of Risk: I hereby assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participating in the Event, including but not limited to risks arising from the conditions of the site, weather conditions, equipment, and the actions of other participants.
  3. Release and Waiver: I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless GreenSpace Water Alliance, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, sponsors and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or harm, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in the Event.
  4. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GreenSpace Water Alliance, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, sponsors and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event, including but not limited to any claims made by third parties.
  5. Medical Treatment: I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary if I am injured or require medical attention during the Event. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment.
  6. Photographic Release: I grant GreenSpace Water Alliance permission to use any photographs, videos, or other media taken during the Event for promotional, educational, or other purposes, without compensation.
  7. Compliance with Rules: I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by GreenSpace Water Alliance and its representatives during the Event.
  8. Governing Law: This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

Registration Agreement: By registering for the Event, I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand this Waiver and Release of Liability and agree to its terms voluntarily. I am of legal age and competent to agree to this document, or I have obtained the necessary consent of my parent or legal guardian.

This event is to raise awareness and funds to help power the GreenSpace Water Alliance mission. GWA is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship, promoting biodiversity, conserving wildlife and wilderness, and ensuring that current and future generations have access to clean water and healthy, thriving environments.

GreenSpace Water Alliance, Inc. (GWA) is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 509(a)(2) and has 501(c)(3) status. Donations to GWA are deductible.
