About this Event
The Urban Collaborative Project (UCP) and Groundwork San Diego - Chollas Creek (GWSD) are uniting residents, advocates, youth, and educational institutions in the community-led stewardship starting with the Chollas Creekside Park.
UCP is activating youth to transform the once blighted Chollas Creekside Park into a space communities can utilize for education, gathering, and recreation. UCP is working with the adjacent educational institutions like Elementary Institute of Science, Lincoln High School, Horton Elementary, Access Youth Academy, Morse High School, and others yearning to interact with this underutilized third space.
Purpose
In celebration of Earth Day, UCP and community partners will be stewarding the land by maintaining the native habitat through irrigation, invasive plant removal, cleaning up litter, planting trees and most importantly, celebrating community collaboration for our shared spaces.
