Join us for a fun and meaningful Earth Day Community Cleanup in Allegan! Bring the family, grab a goodie bag, and spend the morning making a difference!

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Check-In Location: The Sassy Olive
How It Works
Check in at The Sassy Olive between 10 AM–1 PM
Pick up your goodie bag (while supplies last, first come, first served)
Receive cleanup guidance and suggested areas
Head out for a self-guided cleanup
Return to The Sassy Olive at the end for a fun “Look What We Did!” group photo
Cleanup Areas
Participants can choose from several areas around town, including:
Jaycee Park
Rossman Park
Mahan Park
Hanson Park
Riverfront
Mill District (up to Baker Studios / Allegan City Dam)
Water Street Boardwalk
Sue Lang Park (between Bond & Marshall Street)
Special Earth Day Recycling Initiative
Have old Sassy Olive headbands you no longer wear? Bring them with you!
Turn in your old Sassy Olive headbands for fabric recycling and receive a 20% off coupon for in-store shopping, redeemable the day of the event only.
We’re excited to partner with Retold Recycling, which helps turn fabric waste into insulation and other useful materials. The Sassy Olive will collect all returned headbands and ship them to Retold for recycling.
Volunteer Activities
Pick up trash in designated community areas (self-guided)
Help spread the word by sharing the event on your social media pages
Encourage friends and family to join in
