Earth Day! Collage/Mixed Media for Families

Calling all Harlem families!

Come on out and join artist Elan Cadiz for her fun mixed-media classes designed for the whole family. We will build, cut, rip, draw, paste, and more. Join us every 4th Saturday of each month. Each class will highlight a topic, and participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind collage at the end.
Sunday, April 26
Theme: Earth Day Assemblages
In this specialized collage workshop participants will examine and re-imagine found object materials into sculptural structures.

Time: 1 to 3 pm
For Families with children, but adults are welcome as well. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Drop-off is not allowed.

April showers bring May flowers. In this specialized collage workshop, we will create playful layered watercolor collages.

Saturday, June 27
Theme: JUNETEENTH Quilt Project
In the celebration of Juneteenth, this specialized collage workshop will highlight the use of visual arts to tell stories. Each participant will construct a panel of our community quilt, illustrating a story of freedom through the use of fabric, markers and paint.

About Facilitator: Elan Cadiz

Art Education is an important part of Elan's artistic practice.
