The Couillard Solar Foundation's first Solar Series event of 2025 is coming up on #EarthDay, so mark your calendar. What: Earth Day Equity: Air Quality and Solar Power in Beloit
When: April 22nd, 5-7pm
Where: 5-7pm; Beloit Public Library, Community Room (North)
A 2024 international report identified Beloit, WI as having the worst air quality in the US for a city of its size . Census data shows that a third of Beloit’s roughly 36,500 residents are people of color, while nearly one-fifth fall below the poverty line. We will discuss the factors contributing to the city’s air pollution, a citizen science initiative aimed at monitoring it, and how solar could help alleviate this.
