Join us for Persisterhood's annual "Earth Day Meeting" when our keynote presentation focuses on AI DATA Centers - how they impact the environment, the work force, utilities use & utility rates, and local taxes. The Metro KC area--including St. Joseph at its edge--is slated to become a premier "AI Factory" hub. Massive Centers have already been 'approved' and are under construction in Kansas City by Google-Meta, in Independence by Nebius, and in Liberty by Metrobloks with 10 more in the works in our area between now and 2030.
Learn how to join the state-wide coalition across the state fighting to stop AI data center proposals that fail to address environmental concerns, workers rights, and consumer protections for rate payers, as well as lobbying for state legislation ensuring that AI Data Centers have safeguards in place to protect workers, consumers, and the environment.
Persisterhood meetings are open to the public and media. Doors open at 5:45 PM, and our meeting starts at 6 PM. Check out our complete meeting Agenda and "Woke in St. Joseph" events at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hLWBElgIiNrN8iQv1uB3Bpc2_NTfvoSs/view?usp=sharing
