Earth Connections: From Grief to Hope

The world can feel heavy right now. Many of us are carrying grief for the earth, for our communities, and for the future, often without anywhere to put it down. This afternoon offers a space to feel it all together and to leave with something growing.
Hosted by Jessie Cockerham, LCSW, in partnership with Our Origin (@ourorigin.earth), this gathering follows the Spiral of The Work That Reconnects. We move from gratitude, through our pain, into new ways of seeing, and end by planting a seed of hope.
🌿 Starting with Gratitude
We head out onto the land to find what brings us joy, asking permission before we gather. Back in the circle, we share what we found and why it moved us, then create mandalas together or on our own.
🧶 Honoring Our Pain
Together we weave a God's eye, layering in what we love about the earth and about each other alongside the pain we're witnessing, and finishing with our hopes for the future.
👁 Seeing with New Eyes
In pairs, we take turns being witnessed. Guided by the sounds of nature and the ground beneath our feet, we let pain move through the body and gently return to connection. Then we share what came up and what it felt like to be truly seen.
🌱 Going Forth
We close with an energy share, dream together about the future we want to see, and plant seeds as a living symbol of hope.
No experience needed. Just come as you are, ready to connect with the earth and each other.
