This offer is for parents of children who are pre-school age and have recently attended JetSet Group Sessions delivered by the Speech & Language Therapy Service.
This is the next step where we will provide you with tools and strategies to support your child with their everyday living skills, such as Dressing, Eating, Toileting and Play and Hand Skills, as they continue on their journey within Specialist Children & Young People Services (SCYPS).
These weekly sessions which occur over five weeks, offer families the opportunity to meet with other parents and share experiences. You will explore strategies to support your child with guidance by an Occupational Therapist. There will be specific activities to practice at home to consolidate your learning and build confidence to problem solve your child’s everyday challenges.
It is important to attend all 5 sessions to enable you to form and build relationships between parents and ensure all conversation topics are covered and to attain accreditation.
Parents who attend this group will need to be able to understand and speak English within a discussion-based setting. If you would require an interpreter, please contact the service on 0208 586 6480.
