Join Jeff Adams for an Early Winter Plant ID Nature Walk just before the new year! Leaves may have fallen off most of the trees and shrubs but there'll be plenty to see. We'll focus on basic identification characteristics primarily looking at native species along with a few non-natives. We'll include natural history on some of the plants we'll see and there will be prizes given, for example, for those first to spot persistent fruits, winter weeds, and maybe the larval home of the pine tube moth. We'll also discuss specifics on native vs. non-native species. This walk is ideal for those who have not attended a Plant ID walk before, however, all are welcome.
