About this Event
Please bring a pen to take notes with. You will be provided with your own Election Inspector Manual that will help you review and complete your tasks during Early Voting and on Election Day.
The Kent County Election’s Department works with your local City or Township Clerk to help you prepare for Early Voting and Election Day. After training is complete, all in attendance will receive a certification to assist with election administration that will be good for 2 years.
An Election Inspector must be a registered voter of the State of Michigan (or a Michigan resident if age 16-17) . They cannot be a challenger, candidate, or a member of a candidate's immediate family. You do not need to be a resident of the community in which you are working as an Election Inspector.
Precinct inspectors are covered by the federal Minimum Wage Act, although rates may vary by jurisdiction.
