Sara Magal is a brazilian singer and songwriter living in Vancouver BC. Introspective yet playful, her music reflects her love for bossa nova, samba and jazz. Creating her uniqueness by singing mostly in Portuguese and English. Her music connects cultures and gives new possibilities for other ways of listening other styles.
Originally from Brasilia, Brazil, her first album was release in 2014. In the same year, her voice led her to win the award of Best Vocal Interpreter with her song “Cavalo Preto” (Black Horse) at the Brazilian National FM Radio Music Festival.
Since 2016, Sara Magal has been in Vancouver performing solo, playing acoustic guitar but also with musical partners and bands such as Forro do Cana, Brejeira, Ciranda and Amphibius.
