Early Show: Rúne

rúne is a self-produced R&B and Neo Soul vocalist, composer and songwriter. She melds hip hop beats with jazz musicianship, gospel-inspired harmonies, electronic elements and catchy vocal melodies. Her music and lyrics are soulful, raw, insightful, emotive, and poetically reflective, and her sound draws comparisons to Cleo Sol, Charlotte Day Wilson, Amy Winehouse, Jorja Smith, Erykah Badu, HER, Hiatus Kaiyote and Moonchild. rúne will be sharing brand new music with lyrics that center on reverence for nature, philosophy and self-actualization. She seeks to create a space where people feel moved, uplifted, inspired and reconnected to something both within themselves and greater than themselves; a journey that feels both grounding and transcendent, with colorful, sonically rich textures from sampled flutes and harps, to jazzy, live keyboard licks.
