New Early Readers Book Club for K–2nd Grade & Their Grown-Ups!
We're excited to introduce a new program designed especially for children in kindergarten through 2nd grade and a grown-up companion.
Whether your child is already reading independently, just beginning to recognize words, or simply loves listening to stories, this program is for them!
At our first meeting, we'll be exploring the exciting world of Graphic Novels! Graphic novels are often overlooked as "real reading," but they are actually a wonderful way to engage young readers. They encourage children to interpret both words and illustrations, strengthen comprehension skills, and introduce rich vocabulary in an accessible format.
During our first session, participants will:
• Listen to part of a graphic novel read aloud
• Share favorite graphic novels with the group
• Create their own stories and comics
Bring a parent, grandparent, or another supportive grown-up and join us for an evening of creativity, conversation, and reading fun!
