Early Medieval Weaving - Textiles Beginner's Course (Part 3)
Join us at the Braunstone West Social Centre on July 1st, 2026 at 7:45 PM for a fun and relaxed introduction to early medieval textiles.
This course is perfect for beginners wanting to explore historic fibre techniques, or fabric nerds who would like a friendly environment to work on textile crafts.
Following on fromour spinningd and dyeing sessions, the third part of our course, starting on the 1st July and reoccuring weekly until 22nd July, covers early medival braid and weaving on a warp-weighted loom.
Missed the previous course? No problem, this is still beginner friendly!
The session will be led by our fibre expert Hrefna (also known as Julie) and other members of the society. The session will operate from our 'Living History Room' while our regular re-enactment training is taking place in the main hall.
Tea and Coffee available (and free!).
