Got some electronics gathering dust? The WSU Snohomish County Extension Sustainable Community Stewards are partnering with 1GreenPlanet to offer a FREE e-waste recycling event at McCollum Park on Saturday, November 21st, from 10AM - 1PM.
This is the perfect chance to responsibly deal with unwanted gadgets and keep Snohomish sustainable.
We'll be collecting many different types of electronics-- please see the pinned post on this event page for a comprehensive list of acceptable items. Most electronics on the accepted list will be collected whether working or not, whole or in part. It's super easy to drop off your items; follow the signs to the western parking lot at McCollum Park.
There is a suggested donation of $5 to support future recycling collection events.
FLAT-SCREEN TVS, ALKALINE BATTERIES, CDS/DVDS, VHS TAPES, AND APPLIANCES CONTAINING FREON ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE FREE COLLECTION. CRT TELEVISIONS AND
MONITORS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
You can find a local retailer using E-Cycle Washington for free TV recycling https://ecyclewa.org/
Batteries can be taken to Snohomish County transfer stations, drop boxes, and the Household Hazardous Waste facility: https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/6815/Waste-Acceptance-Guidelines#B
