Join us for an evening that flows where art, ecology and technology meet. Explore the living systems of rivers and watersheds through a creative lens—combining natural history, hands-on art-making and board games for an immersive and relaxed night out. Play tabletop games that explore ecological balance and environmental strategy, get inspired by river science and create artwork that reflects the ever-moving currents. Celebrate the beauty and complexity of water—both on-screen and in the landscape—at this one of-a-kind event. Free. All ages.
Drop-in activities:
- Tune into live streams from wild places and life, near and far.
- Tinker on the river table to understand how water flows and carves a path across the earth.
- Create your own colorfully marbled work of art.
- Experiment by interacting artistically with water - making sound with a variety of percussion items, mixing colors, or seeing ribbons as they swizzle through the water!
- Meet the creator of 'Puzzling Ecosystems' and try out this unique, challenging twist on a puzzle where players attempt to discern native from non-native species while assembling the pieces to yield a beautiful landscape image!
- Food available for purchase from a local food truck.
