Join Danish ICYE LF Fyn for a meaningful and international afternoon at Bronx, where local and international members come together through food, creativity, conversations, and cultural exchange while exploring the Mexican tradition of Día de Muertos (The Day of the Dead).
People from different cultures and nationalities will come together through shared activities and conversations. We will explore Día de Muertos while sharing how we honor and remember loved ones in our own countries and cultures, such as Allehelgensdag in Denmark and similar traditions around the world. Through sharing experiences and perspectives, participants can gain new insights and strengthen intercultural understanding.

📍 Location: Bronx, Middelfartvej 115b, 5200 Odense
What to expect:
🌮 Mexican Cooking Together
We will prepare traditional Mexican-inspired food together that fits the spirit of Día de Muertos. We will provide all ingredients, and everyone will help prepare the meal together.
✨ Creative Día de Muertos Workshop
Together we will:
💀 Build and paint a Día de Muertos altar
🌸 Create colorful paper flowers
🎨 Decorate paper skeletons with markers and fabric pieces
We will provide all materials and equipment needed.
This day is about sharing traditions, learning from each other, and creating an international community through culture, creativity, and food.

💸 Transport
The Local Branch of Fyn will cover transportation for LF Fyn volunteers according to Dansk ICYE’s travel refund policy.
Everyone is welcome to join! If you are part of another local branch, you can ask your own branch whether they will cover your transport. LF Fyn will cover all other event-related costs.
