Día de los Muertos Festival and Concert

Esperanza Community Housing is delighted to present the highly anticipated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival and Concert, a vibrant celebration of culture and creativity at Mercado La Paloma. This free, family-friendly event promises an immersive experience steeped in cultural heritage, artistic brilliance, and engaging activities for attendees of all ages. This festival serves as a meaningful occasion for our community to come together, honoring our loved ones who have passed while celebrating the vibrant culture and traditions associated with the Day of the Dead.

The festival will showcase an impressive lineup of performances, including Los Chapincitos, Grupo Folklórico Huaxyacac, Danza Azteca, Los Elegidos de Asís, and Danzantes de Pluma. Each group will bring their unique artistry, enriching the celebration with diverse cultural expressions. We are also pleased to welcome, Afro Oaxaqueña artist Alejandra Robles, to the stage, accompanied by the renowned Banda Filharmónica Maqueos Music.

Mercado La Paloma vendors will offer a delectable array of authentic Day of the Dead dishes, like the traditional Mucbipollo Tamale from the Yucatan Peninsula, Corundas from Michoacán and Pan de Muerto and Hot Chocolate from Oaxaca, ensuring that every palate is satisfied.
