About this Event
The annual Día de los Muertos Celebration on Third Street Promenade is back! The evening festivities will feature live entertainment, a Latinx pop-up market presented by Molcajete Dominguero, community altars, kids arts and crafts, face painting and games for all ages.
Public Art Exhibit:
- Enchanting La Catrina public art sculptures, up to 14 feet tall, by Los Angeles-based artist Ricardo Soltero. (Last year we had a giant and adorable Alebrije sculpture, a Chihuahua named Paulie, stay tuned to see what Ricardo has in store for this year.... 👀)
Live Performances:
- Live performances by local talent, including Neiya Arts, Aztec Dancers of Santa Monica Folklorico Dance Company, Santa Monica Ballet Folklorico, Academia de Danza BFFM, Ballet Folklorico del Alma, recording artist Danny Munoz, and various Latinx student groups
Family Activites
- Family and pet-friendly activities, arts and crafts, face-painting
Community Altars:
- A colorful display of community altars

Things to know:
- No advance registration is required and all ages are welcome
- Dogs are welcome
- Public restrooms are available in nearby Parking Structure 4
- Third Street Promenade is easily accessible via public transportation, only a few blocks from the Downtown Santa Monica Metro stop.
