About Nadie se salva:
A publisher travels to Buenos Aires to sign a contract with a writer known only as V. He is convinced that her debut novel is revolutionary, that it will reshape the landscape of science fiction and perhaps give birth to a new genre. He is, however, wholly unprepared for what awaits him.
In Nadie se salva, author Dylan Connell weaves a Murakami-esque tale that effortlessly blends magical realism and science fiction. We join the publisher in his pursuit of what he hopes will be a legacy-defining work through the alluring labyrinth of V’s Buenos Aires, encountering tango singers, cult leaders, and dreams that refuse to stay in their proper place. With each step, he sinks deeper into the mysteries at the center of V and her novel, ultimately facing a truth that may transform everything he thought he knew.

Dylan Connell writes fast-paced, philosophical fiction. His work explores human psychology in relation to the troubled spiritual times of the twenty-first century. Dylan’s writings have appeared in Lucky Jefferson, Defunkt, ¡Pa’lante!, and other publications. His story “The Cult of Venus” was featured by Brain Mill Press in their Best of 2021 Science Fiction anthology. Dylan’s story “Lotus Drinkers,” submitted by Logic 86, was a finalist for the Pushcart Prize. In addition to fiction, Dylan organizes hip-hop events across the Bay Area and often takes the stage himself—most notably, every First Friday at the Alan Blueford Center for Justice in Oakland. When he’s not writing, rapping, or engaged in a game of chess, Dylan can be found on the hardtop basketball courts of Mission Dolores and the Panhandle. He studied classics and anthropology in undergrad and holds an MFA from the University of San Francisco.
Tim Paggi is a playwright, poet and writer of office horror. His work uses dark humor and cosmic horror to explore issues of identity and free will in American workplaces. He is the author of the novella, “How to K*ll Friends and Eviscerate People,” and “The Other Side of the Hallway” from Akinoga Press in 2025. His poetry chapbook "Workforced" won the 2015 Plork "Play/Work" Award for Creative Writing and Publication Arts. He holds an MFA from the University of Baltimore, and lives with his wife in Johnston Square.
