Dykes & Dolls introduces two new artists Charlie Murray and Tina Murray who happen to be cousins. While Charlie’s portraits celebrate 'Quelders' (Queer & Lesbian Elders) in our local community, Tina’s paintings ask us to think about the use of language, and how seemingly innocuous everyday words have the power to belittle women and girls. Both are Women Out West who began painting classes with retired Art Teacher Ian Corbett only a few years ago with exciting results.Opening event - Thursday 31st October @ 6pm – 8.30pm
To be Welcomed to Country by Bonny Brodie at 6.30pm
Opening Speaker: Dr.Vicki Crowley
Daily exhibitions: Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd November 10am - 4pm.
