Self-described Gaysian Empress of Sydney, Dyan Tai (they/them) is a trilingual Chinese-Australian
artist making electronic hyperpop fused with Beijing opera and Southeast Asian soundscapes.
Named one of BigSound’s standout acts to watch (NME) and praised by Flume for their ‘sound
design’ (triple j), Dyan’s live shows have been described as “a queer, euphoric dream that you
don’t want to wake up from” (The Age). Following their first UK/EU tour and a spot at Anti Social
Camp London (PinkPantheress, Glass Animals), Dyan kicked off 2026 with new single ‘Internet
Friends’, alongside Spotify playlist support in Malaysia and Singapore, and festival appearances
including Mighty Hoopla Sydney, Midsumma Pride Festival and National Multicultural Festival.
They return to SXSW London and Mighty Hoopla London later this year.
