Meet the park naturalist at the Dutton Island expansion trail parking lot for a tour of the preserve. Portions of the trail are subject to flooding during unusually high tides and after rain; hiking boots are recommended. Participants will be given the option to explore the wooded habitat of the expansion trail or go for a walk out the island to explore salt marsh habitat. We will discuss any plants or animals encountered on the walk.
Water, sun protection, bug spray, and binoculars are recommended.
Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
Terrain is ADA accessible and suitable for strollers.
