The Durham, CT America 250 Committee will be hosting a lecture regarding the Town of Durham’s historic origins and a survey of the surviving colonial architecture seen around town.Colonial gardens existed not for pleasure, but for the individual plant’s practical uses in the home. We’ll explore the evolution of these gardens from the earliest settlers to those of 1776 and early independence.
Join us for a lecture on colonial gardening with Leslie Martino, landscape designer. This is a free event.
Since we have had such a large showing at previous lectures, we would appreciate a RSVP to Carolyn at the community center so we can have an estimate of people attending. However, no one will be turned away for not registering. Please call Carolyn at 860-894-7837 or email her at [email protected]
