What should I bring?

• Sun screen
• Water bottle (potable water is available on-site)
• Food/snacks
• Clothing for beach and/or hiking (note that it is a mile walk from the train station to the park)
• Anything fun you want to do while there (frisbee, bike, etc.)

How will we get there?

We will be taking the South Shore Line which departs from Millennium Station. This line is not owned by Metra. You will need to purchase your ticket through the South Shore Line mobile app.

We will disembark at the Dune Park stop and walk about a mile from the train station to the park.

What is our plan once we are there?

We will set up camp on the beach and then folks can chill there, hike the dunes/park nearby, whatever you want! There are food options nearby but we can also go picnic mode.

If you want to return at a later time, there are trains from Dune Park at 5:43 PM and 7:20 PM arriving at Millenium Station at 6:26 PM and 8:43 PM respectively.

NOTE: You are responsible for your own travel and gear; we will not be providing any of the gear mentioned above or tickets for travel.
