Throughout its history Duluth has had no shortage of beloved restaurants, cafes, and drinking establishments. Join us in November (the month of feasting!) as historian and writer Kathleen Murphy reminisces about iconic local restaurants of the past, such as The Chinese Lantern, Miller's Cafeteria and several others. Kathleen will present historical information about the restaurants, share a few artifacts, then encourage a discussion about our memories of these institutions and what they meant to our community.
Gather at 5:30 pm, presentation begins at 6.
About our presenter: Kathleen Murphy is a former columnist for the Duluth News Tribune and other local publications. For five years she wrote a column titled "Relics," in which she would find and research an item from Duluth's history, the most popular of which were those focused on Duluth restaurants.
