Every year Orewa Beach Kindergarten hold a community event called The Ducky Derby which is based in Orewa. The annual fundraising event, sees 750 plastic ducks overseen by the Orewa Surf Club, race down the Orewa Estuary.
There are great prizes for in the individual Duck race. At the same time, we run the Corporate Duck Race with larger ducks where local businesses and corporate organisations get involved.
It really is an annual event which the whole Hibiscus Coast Community look forward to and get involved in.
