The Dublin Street Photography Festival (DSPF) is a photography festival that aims to promote street photography as an art form and a form of cultural communication. None of our activities would be possible without the support of our main sponsor McGarrell Reilly Group, and our hosts: Charlemont Square. We would also like to thank the many friends of the festival for their support. We would like to express our gratitude to the amazing judges and guest photographers for helping to make our festival a best-in-class event for street photography. Finally, we would like to thank our volunteers for their hard work and support.

To further engage with our community, we organize live events in multiple languages, creating an immersive and inclusive experience for our audience. These events serve as a melting pot of cultures, where photography becomes a universal language that transcends boundaries.

An eagerly anticipated milestone at Street Macadam is the upcoming Macadam Award, a prestigious photo competition scheduled to launch its first edition in June 2024. This competition represents a significant step in our commitment to recognizing and celebrating outstanding talent within our community.

As part of our global outreach, we conduct workshops in various cities worldwide. These workshops are led by renowned photographers who share their expertise, providing invaluable learning experiences for enthusiasts and professionals alike. Our esteemed lineup of photographers brings a wealth of knowledge, enriching our community with their unique insights and skills.

As we continue to evolve, Street Macadam remains dedicated to fostering connections and celebrating the artistry of street and documentary photography on an international scale. Join us in this exciting journey, where every photograph tells a story, and every story contributes to the vibrant mosaic of Street Macadam.

Embrace the essence of street photography with us – where the pavement meets passion, and every snapshot is a testament to the beauty of the human experience.

About Stéphane Kyndt

Stéphane Kyndt is a professional photographer since 1997. Initially traversing paths in business and psychology,

Stéphane's pivot  towards photography was a revelation. Through self-teaching and relentless  practice, he honed his skills, delving deep into the intricacies of framing,  technique, and storytelling.  Over time, he forged a distinctive photographic style characterized by its  humanistic ethos, rich colors, warmth, and an unwaveringly positive outlook  on life.
Sté Kyndt's odyssey led him across continents, where he spent a decade in  Los Angeles , serving as a photo correspondent specializing in celebrity  photography.  Yet, Stéphane's wanderlust was far from satisfied.

He returned to his  homeland, France, only to continue his globetrotting adventures. His work has taken him across the globe, from Madagascar to Colombia,  from Morocco to Uruguay and in many other countries in Europe.
His photographic expeditions, often centered on documentary and street  photography, serve as poignant testimonies to the human condition and the  myriad facets of culture and society.  Each frame tells a story, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the  narrative woven by light and shadow, color and contrast. Reflecting on his journey, Sté Kyndt muses, "There is magic in photography,  and this magic does not fade with time, quite the contrary... It’s the eternity  of yesterday."
Through his lens, he invites us to embrace the vivid spectrum of life, to savor  its vibrancy, and to find beauty in the ordinary.
