Dublin: Informal ME/CFS social meet-up hosted by Tom Kindlon (Irish ME/CFS Association)
Transport/travel: Venue is close to the M50 junction 6. There is a big car park which should have plenty of spaces at this time of the day. Castleknock train station is 400 m away. There are bus stops very close.
All welcome, no entry fee. You don’t need to be a member of the Irish ME/CFS Association. We've had a number of meet-ups here that went well, with up to 8 people, sometimes less.
Register your interest (optional) by emailing me at [email protected], in case of cancellation (hopefully unlikely; hasn't happened so far) or if you can't find us on the day. I don't promise to be able to reach everyone who hasn't registered if we did have to cancel (but we have never had to cancel so far for the 17 meet-ups).
Refreshments: Some of us buy lunch, some just a drink, including tea or coffee. Carvery lunch is available until 3 PM (half-portion carvery lunch costing €12.95 is a good size). There is also a general food menu available all day (more expensive). People buy their own food and/or drink.
Length: My energy limit is 4PM, but you are welcome to stay longer.
Where to meet?: We usually meet in the "carvery" room. We have had it to ourselves a few times after the carvery stopped being served. It has low stools that are a good height to raise legs if needed. In good weather, we may meet on the picnic benches outside, especially if someone has a strong preference.
Next meeting after this? The next one after this probably won't be till late September or early October.
Where is it happening?
