🎬 Experience the powerful stories of Afro-Indigenous identity through film.
As part of the 30th Annual Native American Indian Film & Video Festival of the Southeast, join us on Wednesday, November 12, at 6:00 PM at the Orangeburg County Fine Arts Center for a special screening of Duality: A Collection of Afro-Indigenous Perspectives.
This compelling 55-minute documentary explores the lived experiences, histories, and identities of Afro-Indigenous people, highlighting voices and stories that are too often overlooked. Through personal narratives and historical reflection, the film examines the rich intersections of Native and African heritage while celebrating resilience, culture, and community.
Following the screening, filmmaker Frederick Murphy of History Before Us will join us for a live question-and-answer session , offering audiences an opportunity to discuss the film, its creation, and the importance of preserving these stories.
Join us as we continue celebrating 30 years (1996–2026) of the Native American Indian Film & Video Festival of the Southeast by bringing Indigenous voices and perspectives to communities across South Carolina.
