Drums, Rhythm, and Sound Healing

All are welcome to this FREE gathering Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00pm at Posse Grounds Pavilion as we come together in rhythm and sound. Bring your drum, a chair, and any acoustic instruments, including healing bowls.
Sedona Drum and Sound Healing is a community-based, open-format, rhythmic collective. Our circle is open to people of all backgrounds and life experiences. The drums lead and we simply create the conditions where something more can emerge. We honor the land and sky, have respect for our ancestors and Indigenous traditions, and approach rhythm with humility and gratitude.
Rooted in improvisational drumming and collaboration, these gatherings offer an active pathway into presence, nervous system regulation, and alignment without force or an ideological framework. At the heart of the experience is shared rhythm. Through drumming, deep listening, silence, and sound, we enter states of flow where effort softens, attention widens, and creativity moves freely through the body.
Rhythm provides structure and grounding. Melodic and textural sound elements invite spaciousness, emotional integration, and ease. Each gathering is shaped by the people, instruments, and energies that arrive, allowing the experience to be alive, responsive, and emergent.
Our approach is heart-centered, intentional, relational, and welcoming. While the space is open and improvisational, it is held with awareness and care so participants feel safe enough to explore, express, lead, follow, or simply rest. In this shared field of rhythm, gratitude, generosity, humility, forgiveness, and mutual respect arise naturally through lived experience.
We welcome a wide range of acoustic instruments including hand drums, healing bowls, handpans, gongs, bells, didgeridoos, flutes, shakers, and other sound tools.
No prior musical experience is required. Whether you are brand new to drumming or have been playing for years, you are welcome here. If you need to borrow a drum or a chair, please reach out.
