My name is Temitope Odebiyi (Topsticks), Nigeria’s leading female drummer, a drum coach, leadership coach, and Youth Pastor at The Breath of Life Ministry.
Topsticks holds a B.A. and Master’s degree in History and Strategic Studies, with a Ph.D. in view. She is also the Founder of the Drum Queens Community and Convener of the Annual Drum Queens Festival, a unique gathering that showcases female drummers while equipping and empowering young women across Nigeria and Africa.
Drum Queens Festival has empowered about 200 female drummers and this year we will be showcasing some of the skilled Queens who are successful in their fields.
Our goal is to empower young graduates to bridge the gap between career and talent, to enable them find expression in their local churches.
After the Drum Queens Festival in August, the Drum Queens Community will be having an outreach at the NYSC Orientation Camps in Lagos and Abuja, where we will identify, train, and empower young graduates to develop their drumming skill.
