Drum Making Workshop

Drums are the heart beat of the soul. Making your own drum adds your spirit and medicine to the drum. Where Faeries Live is proud to welcome back to Chris and Michelle as they will lead us through the journey of making your own drum!

Chris makes the frames from cedar, and he will teach you the steps of completing the drums. Once all the drums are complete, Chris will teach you the basics of playing your drum.

You get to choose the colour of hide you want. The color choices are natural, blue, green, brown, red, purple. Please indicate your choice in the check-out menu.

NEW - You have the option of upgrading to buffalo hide! Buffalo costs an extra $50 +gst + Eventbrite fees, so if you want buffalo, make sure you select the add-on for it. All the same colours are available for buffalo hides.

You have a choice of making a 14, 16 or 18inch drum. Cost is

• 14inch drum $275 +gst + eventbrite fees
• 16 inch drum $300 +gst+ eventbrite fees
• 18 inch drum $325 + gst+ eventbrite fees

You can make a non-refundable deposit of $125 +gst + Eventbrite fees here on Eventbrite, with the remaining due on the day of the workshop. Or you can pay in full online.

Class size is limited, and this workshop often sells out, so don't wait too long!

HOUSEKEEPING

1. Where Faeries Live has moved! Our new address is 7933-104 Street. We’ve had issues with map/direction apps taking people to the old location, even if the address is listed correctly. We’ve found if you type in our new address instead of “Where Faeries Live” in the search box, you’ll get the correct directions. But if you wind up at the old location anyway, the good news is: we aren’t far away! If you find yourself at the old store, we are about half a block east and half a block north, next to Crave Cupcakes.
2. Tickets to this event are ONLY available through EventBrite. Anyone offering tickets via any other medium is trying to scam you.
3. Tickets are available on EventBrite through 11:59pm MST on April 9th, 2026. Refunds are available through EventBrite up to seven days before the event. EventBrite fees are non-refundable.
4. If you opt to make a deposit here on Eventbrite, the remaining balance of your ticket price is due before the workshop starts. Payment can be made in-store by debit, credit, or cash.
