Bring your instrument or borrow ours! Enjoy group music making which can help reduce stress, promote self-expression and build community.
About this Event

Participants are invited to bring their own instruments or borrow from a shared collection of drums and percussion provided on site. This interactive experience welcomes all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced musicians—and focuses on creating rhythm together in a relaxed, supportive environment.

One Tribe will guide free-form drumming where participants can explore self-expression, connect with others, and experience the collective energy of group music-making. Drum circles are known to help reduce stress, improve focus, and foster a strong sense of belonging and community. No prior musical experience is needed—just a willingness to listen, participate, and have fun.

Restrooms

Outdoor programs are located at various places throughout the entire park. There are temporary restrooms located at the Big Field, Flowers Field, Magnolia Room, Oak Room, and by the Dog Park. Accessible temporary restrooms are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Indoor accessible restrooms are available at Gipson Play Plaza, under the Superintendent’s House at the Stone Houses and at the Chapel during hours of operation.

Accessibility

Dix Park continues to strive to be accessible and welcoming for visitors, including those with disabilities. Currently, portions of Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces and are not fully accessible. Accessibility is a primary focus for early park improvements and all future planning and development.

Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in all lots.

Restrooms: Accessible temporary restrooms are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Indoor accessible restrooms are available at Gipson Play Plaza, under the Superintendent’s House at the Stone Houses and at the Chapel during hours of operation.
