Drop in Like it's Hot: BIGGER AND BETTER
About this Event
We're back baby!
On the second Tuesday of every month, improvisers can work on their hip hop improv and freestyling skills by joining us for an open Track 96 rehearsal. In a fun and supportive environment, learn more about the fundamentals of musical improv. We'll do a mix of warm up rhyming and freestyling games as well as improv scenes with rap songs.
It's ideally for people who have some experience of improv and/or freestyling, though beginners are welcome to attend if they like. If you have any questions about your suitability please drop us a line and we can discuss.
Each session will be led by members of Track 96 and will explore various subjects, including:
- Freestyling
- Rhythm and rhyme structures
- Rapping from a character's perspective
- Choreography and how to use physicality to enhance a freestyle performance
- Improv scenework
- And much more!
Track 96 is a hip hop improv team based in London that performs regularly around the UK. We teach hip hop improv and freestyling with Hoopla Impro. For more information see our website at https://track96.com/
