Drop By Drop: Understanding and Managing Your Home Irrigation System
About this Event
This class simplifies your home's in-ground automatic watering system, transforming it into a manageable resource. We go beyond just setting the timer, or the "set it and forget it" approach, and explore the components from the street to the nozzles that distribute water to your landscape. Homeowners will gain the skills to identify common irrigation issues such as overspray or leaks and learn how to implement best practices rooted in research from the University of Florida which will save water and money while keeping their lawn and gardens lush.
Water and light snacks will be provided in this lunch n learn style class. Feel free to bring your lunch, all beverage containers must have a lid, as per library rules.
Class is taught by Stephanie Means, Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Assistant UF/IFAS Extension Duval County. Please direct any questions to [email protected] or 904-255-7450.
