About this Event

Watering vegetables and other edible crops is often necessary to ensure production. But how much and how often? How do I set up an easy and efficient system and how do I maintain it? Which method is the best one for my garden and my crops? Join this class to find answers.

This class will cover multiple methods of efficient and low-flow irrigation methods for vegetable and edible gardens in raised beds. We'll discuss pros and cons of several types of micro/low volume systems. We will show how to set up a simple low-flow irrigation system and explain the parts needed.

This class will take place at our Urban Garden Field Office and in our Demonstration Garden. We will discuss topics indoors, and then go outside in the garden to see examples. Close-toed shoes and weather-appropriate attire are essential!
