Join us on a fantastical journey when the magical DRINKERS & DRAGONS Fantasy Bar Crawl returns for an encore event — this time during July's FIRST FRIDAYS in Richmond's ARTS DISTRICT — after a sold out event in Carytown in May!
Gather your party and surrender to your inner adventurer as you explore Richmond's Arts District during FIRST FRIDAYS on July 3rd – while completing quests and raising a glass (or three!), making new friends and connections along the way!
The DRINKERS & DRAGONS Fantasy Bar Crawl coincides with the DRAGONS & MEAD Fantasy Art Show opening the same night at Black Iris — which will help kick-off a month of exciting fantasy-based 21+ events under the pop-up banner, all hosted at Black Iris.
🎲 Embark on an adventure as you journey from tavern to tavern. Complete challenges and trade "Drinking Dragons" trading cards (featuring over 80 Richmond artists!) with hidden prizes that will make even the mightiest dragon envious. Sharpen your wits and prove your mettle to claim the spoils!
🧙🏻♂️ Immerse yourself in a realm where fantasy fandoms collide, as we bring together the magic of your favorite worlds into an unforgettable night of revelry in the ARTS DISTRICT of Richmond! From Middle Earth to Westeros, Narnia to Sorcerer School, or Hawkins, Indiana and beyond, all fantasy fandoms are welcomed & encouraged to join in. Traverse through multiple venues, each hosting their own fantasy themeed drink specials, curated to satisfy even the most voracious adventurers. And yes, wear a fantasy-inspired / based costume/cosplay if you wish!!
🎨 Show off your creativity and craftsmanship in our Best Fantasy Themed Costume/Cosplay Contest! Dress to impress in your most spectacular attire inspired by the worlds of fantasy. From awe-inspiring armor to spellbinding robes, may the finest costume wielder claim the title and bask in the glory of their triumph! (details at Black Iris- i.e. Registration)
🏆 View original artwork that was used on many of the DRINKING DRAGON trading cards! On July 3rd Black Iris (host of Registraiton) will host the opening of theDRAGONS & MEAD: Fantasy Art Show that will be on display during July, featuring several original pieces that were used on the trading cards that crawl attendees will seek out.
🙏 Be a hero in the story! Bring in canned goods to help support our Charity Canned Food Drive that will directly benefit - every two cans donated equals 1 raffle ticket making donors eligible for great prizes! The more cans donated means more chances to win!
