Learn to sculpt highly detailed, believable dragons in this hands-on workshop with Hope Christofferson, an artist raised in South Dakota's Black Hills whose work draws on residencies in Denmark, Argentina, Austria, and the UK, and who now reimagines the American West as living folklore.
You'll explore dragon anatomy — how wings, muscle, and posture create the illusion of a living creature — plus scale texture, horn and claw detail, armature building, and finishing techniques. Hope also shares her approach to sculpting from myth and legend, treating folklore as source material rather than decoration.
All skill levels welcome. Bring curiosity, patience, and a willingness to get your hands dirty — you'll leave with a dragon of your own making.
