About

A whimsical movie night with DREAMGLOW. A variety of short films — atmospheric, tranquil, daringly experimental — mingle with playful vocal harmonies, kaleidoscopic soundscapes, and adventurous improvisations.

DREAMGLOW originated as the dreamscape of singer-composers Nathan Halbur and Angela Yam, to explore sounds of classical lo-fi, vocal harmony, and improvisation. The recent Slumber Party tour culminated in November 2024 at The Rockwell (with dancer Cassie Wang and installation artist Yolanda He Yang). DREAMGLOW’s music can currently be heard in the exhibition an archive and/or a repertoire at SMFA at Tufts (in a collaboration with artist Kledia Spiro and ten poets).

What to bring

In preparation for the gathering, we encourage bringing your own pillow, mat, or folding chair for optimal comfort. Limited seating is available.

Parking & Public Transit

There is NO PARKING in the lots at the base of the building as they are private and will tow. Street parking can be found on Hampshire Street and Cambridge Street. Central Square Cambridge public transportation is .7 miles away. Union Square Somerville Green Line stop is .6 miles away. Bus lines that run through Inman Sq are the 83 and 69.

Venue

The event will take place at Vivid Oblivion, a 1200 sq ft studio in Inman Sq Cambridge dedicated to strengthening intersectional, international, and intergenerational co-creative dialogue to catalyze change, deepening networks within ourselves, place, and each other in service of visioning new and better futures. The studio opens new trajectories within body and landscape, through the wilds of interdisciplinary exchange, rigor and the untamed in performance, dance, somatics, design, and emerging spiritualities.
