Awakening Through Dreams: Dream Yoga Retreat with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
September 5–6, 2026 · In-person & Online · Budapest · Hungary
Organizer: Ligmincha Hungary · ligmincha.hu
________________________________________
Rooted in the Tibetan Bön Buddhist tradition, dream yoga is an advanced spiritual practice in which dreams are understood to be potent vehicles for enhancing awareness in both dreaming and waking states. These vehicles can help us to move toward transforming our consciousness and our lives.
Through practicing dream yoga we can prepare for sleep and the types of dreams that can arise; we can learn how to bring lucidity into our dreams and with it, the potential to impact our general well-being through greater awareness of the cycles of day and night. This recognition can transform every aspect of our waking life, opening us to infinite creative possibilities available in every moment.
The eventual goal of dream yoga is not solely to learn to dream lucidly, but also to recognize the illusory nature of both dreams and waking life and to realize the true nature of reality. Dream yoga is also a preparation for death: as Rinpoche teaches, your ability to be grounded, peaceful, and aware during the dying process will depend on the success of your previous dream yoga practice.
The retreat is open to all — no prior experience is required.
