DREAM CATCHER AMBASSADOR SIGN-UP EVENT

Join us at the House of Shine on August 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM (Central Time) for an exciting opportunity to become a Dream Catcher Ambassador!

This in-person event invites children to learn about community, dreams, and values, and to learn to engage with their community by asking the inspiring question: What are your dreams and why? It's a chance to connect, listen, and celebrate the dreams that shape our world.

Come be part of a movement that encourages curiosity, empathy, and the power of dreams!

Community Puzzle
Host: House of Shine Team

Info: Each team member receives a unique puzzle piece to decorate in a way that represents their personality, strengths, or contribution to the team. Participants can use colors, words, symbols, or drawings to make their piece meaningful and personal. Once everyone has finished, the team works together to connect all the pieces and reveal the completed community puzzle.

Purpose:
This activity encourages creativity, collaboration, and communication while highlighting an important message: every individual brings something unique to the group, and the community is stronger when everyone’s contributions come together.

Reflection:
After completing the puzzle, invite participants to share what their piece represents and discuss how the individual pieces work together to create something bigger than any one person could create alone.

My Values, My Voice: A Self-Discovery Experience

Info: In this self-discovery experience, participants explore seven key values and reflect on what each one means in their lives as a community voice. For each value, participants consider how it shapes their choices, relationships, actions, and the way they contribute to their community
After reflecting on all seven values, participants select at least three values that feel especially meaningful to them. Using those values as inspiration, they create a personal keepsake—such as a decorated card, bracelet, affirmation piece, artwork, or small symbol—that represents who they are and the voice they bring to their community.
The keepsake serves as a lasting reminder that your values and your voice are one. When your actions reflect what you believe, your voice becomes a meaningful part of the community.
Reflection: Participants share one value they chose, why it matters to them, and how they can use their voice to live out that value in their community.

Dream Catcher Edition: A Community Scavenger Hunt
Host: Houseof Shine Team

Info: Get ready to explore Main Street in Grapevine on a scavenger hunt with a purpose: discovering dreams and giving them a voice.
Working individually or in small teams, participants will walk Main Street, follow 7 clues, and collect 6 dreams from community members along the way. Each clue will lead participants to a new place, perspective, or opportunity to connect with the community.
The heart of the experience is the magic of asking someone, “What is your dream?” Participants will invite community members to share a dream they carry—big or small, personal or collective—and capture each dream with permission.
Along the way, participants will experience how a simple question can create connection, curiosity, courage, and hope. A dream that might have lived quietly inside one person becomes something witnessed and welcomed by the community.
