Join The 51st and for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and collaborative art-making centered on the people who make our neighborhoods vibrant every day.
Ward 7 is home to artists, writers, makers, storytellers, and creative entrepreneurs who are helping shape the culture of our communities. Too often, conversations about the future of arts and culture happen without the voices of the people doing the work. Drawn Together is an opportunity to change that.
We'll spend time talking honestly about what it's like to build a creative life east of the river, the challenges artists face, and what we need to thrive. Then we'll create a collaborative mural together, responding to one simple question: What would your ideal artistic community in Ward 7 look like?
Whether you're a Ward 7 artist, writer, creative entrepreneur, journalist, or neighbor who believes in the power of the arts, we'd love to have you in the room.
No artistic experience is necessary—just bring your ideas and your curiosity.
