About this Event
Unleash your creativity in a unique four-hour workshop where you'll explore the art of drawing with inks made from locally foraged plants. With a relaxed break for lunch, this workshop offers a blend of collaborative and individual artistic experiences.
Natural Inks made from plants growing around us have a beautiful, flowing, organic nature that is a joy to work with, freeing up your drawing style with unexpected textures and marks.
In the morning, we'll start with playful drawing exercises, experimenting with plant inks to create abstract forms as a group. After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to dive into your own project—whether it's a still life, self-portrait, or landscape drawing.
Plus, you'll get insider tips on making your own plant inks at home, and a downloadable online lesson on foraging and making plant inks when you book!
All materials and equipment are provided, so you can focus on your art. Once you book, you’ll receive a downloadable PDF with everything you need to know, including what to bring and where to find us, as well as a link to the 'Natural Ink Making Introductory workshop' online, and the 'Foraging for Natural Inks' video.
Don't miss this chance to connect with nature and your inner artist in the truly inspiring setting of Bitterne Station Hub!
