Drawing on the Lawn, our free, drop-in drawing events for all ages and abilities, returns this July to the front lawn of the Gallery near the Merrion Square entrance. These relaxed outdoor sessions invite everyone to get creative at their own pace. Whether you're an experienced artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, you're welcome to drop by the lawn and sketch. Find inspiration in the Gallery's beautiful surroundings: from the architecture of the Gallery building itself and the elegant streetscape of Georgian Dublin and Merrion Square, to the bronze statue of William Dargan by renowned Irish sculptor Thomas Farrell R.H.A.
Designed to be as welcoming, inclusive, and accessible as possible, each session is supported by members of the Gallery's Education Team, who will be on hand throughout to offer encouragement and guidance.
There is no charge to participate, no booking is required, and all materials will be provided. For further information contact [email protected]
Entrance to the Gallery is free so after you have spent some time sketching, why not head inside and experience our world class collection!
