Join us for an 8-week drawing course covering everything from basic shapes and shading to cartoon characters and animal sketches. Each week focuses on a new topic and project, including perspective, ink drawing, portrait basics, and more.
Students will explore various techniques like hatching, stippling, and blending with color, and have the opportunity to create unique pieces, such as a botanical drawing, a cartoon character, or a colorful nature scene.
Weekly Breakdown:
Week 1: Introduction to Drawing Basics – Shapes, lines, and shading.
Week 2: Perspective Drawing – One- and two-point perspective.
Week 3: Drawing with Ink – Techniques for line work and textures.
Week 4: Drawing from Nature – Observing textures and where to begin drawing.
Week 5: Drawing Cartoon Characters – Exploring cartoon styles and expressions.
Week 6: Portrait Drawing Basics – Facial features and proportions.
Week 7: Drawing Animals – Simplifying forms and adding texture.
Week 8: Creative Composition with Color – Combining techniques learned and creating a colorful final piece.
