Drawing and Painting Workshop for Kids -

This workshop is part of the On the Canals program, presented free of charge by Stony Point Art Studio, the NYS Canal Corporation and the NY Power Authority.

Children's workshop will explore drawing and painting the local flora and fauna that inhabits the nature surrounding the Erie Canal. A quiet creative place for young artists to tap into their creative side. We will use sketching techniques that lead to oil pastels, watercolor and/ or colored pencils. Students will be taught how to use basic shapes and shading to create original works of art depicting the nature surrounding the canal. Each student will complete a beautiful, original piece of art to be taken home at the completion of the workshop.

Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather and bring a snack and water.

Maximum of 8 students

Ages 10-17
